EPD
With 39 models already certified and 33 more planned, we are committed to improving the environmental impact of our surfaces based on a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), assured by EPD, the leading product environmental certification. See our certified models and their environmental impact in our EPD reports, here.
Recycled materials
Currently, 31% of our entire portfolio contains at least 40% recycled materials, and we expect to incorporate up to 50% recycled materials across our mineral collection by 2026. Seven of our models are SCS-certified for their recycled material content, with more certifications in progress.
Zero waste to landfill
We have achieved zero waste to landfill in our porcelain manufacturing and are actively working to reduce waste to landfill in our quartz and mineral manufacturing processes as well.
Wastewater recovery
Minimizing freshwater use and eliminating wastewater discharge are top priorities for us. All our manufacturing sites are equipped with advanced wastewater treatment facilities, enabling us to fully reuse our wastewater and achieve zero effluent discharge.
Electrifying transportation
In 2023, we reached a major milestone in our long-term climate action program by completing the transformation of the entire forklift fleet at our Bar Lev site from diesel to electric. This transformation significantly reduces the carbon footprint of our operations.
Reducing raw material consumption
Recognizing that the production and transportation of raw materials are among the most impactful stages of our product lifecycle, we continuously work to enhance operational efficiency and reduce material consumption. Since 2021, we have achieved a 6% reduction in material usage per ton of product manufactured in our quartz and mineral portfolio.
Partnerships for sustainability
As leaders in our industry, we actively collaborate with leading sustainability organizations and initiatives in the green building sector, sharing our expertise and contributing to the advancement of sustainable practices.
Improvement programs
We have implemented environmental and climate improvement programs across all our sites and are working closely with our business partners to establish similar initiatives at their facilities.
